What you would like to know
Bibs:
Choose those cotton bibs. Those with waterproof backings are not useful, they are not absorbent at all. Can be quite frustrating to use.
Feeding bottles:
Do not buy too many small bottles. Some babies outgrow their drinking capacity in no time and the small bottles will be gone to waste. It is wiser to buy those bigger bottles which can hold milk up to 260ml or 330ml rather than those which can hold only 120ml.
Sleep positioner:
This item is not really useful for big babies or strong babies, they can overturn the sleep positioner, so in the end it doesn’t help to position the baby at all.
Booties Vs socks:
It is wiser to buy socks instead of booties. Booties are outgrown very fast while socks are stretchable and more elastic. Can be use for a longer period.
Bottle detergent:
You can get value packs from Pigeon at $19.90 for two 700ml of bottle detergent. Some HDB shops sold this value packs at $17.90
Baby wipes:
More economical to buy refillable baby wipes. So don’t throw away the first baby wipe container for future refill.
Baby wash/shampoo:
Some mothers prefer to use one bottle of ‘head to toe’ wash for both body and hair instead of buying shampoo and baby bath separately. For the sake of convenience.
